The Inspiring Green Project was established to lead, educate, and inspire the planting and sustaining of our community’s trees, roadways, and green spaces.
Community businesses, organizations, and individuals have a great opportunity to make significant progress in addressing sustainable living and improving our roadscapes, our green infrastructure, our environment, and our quality of life.
The Inspiring Green Project is divided into three levels of partnership with each providing the opportunity to support increasingly green infrastructure while receiving prominent recognition throughout the community.

Inspiring Green Partnerships
Lead Partner | $5,000
- Receive one 24 x 30 inch sign on the designated roadway.

Educate Partner | $10,000
- Receive one 24 x 30 inch sign on the designated roadway.
- Plant up to 25-30 trees and/or eco-friendly landscaping.

- Posted sign recognition.
Inspire Partner | $30,000
- Receive one 36 x 36 inch round sign on the designated roadway.
- Plant up to 75-80 trees and/or eco-friendly landscaping.

- City Council meeting recognition with plaque presentation.

- Custom Inspiring Green sign.
Inspiring Green Ambassador
Becoming an Inspiring Green Ambassador provides a unique avenue for individuals, organizations, or businesses to help maintain sections of roadside within the city of Sterling Heights.
Ambassador partner will receive:
- An 18 x 24 inch sign on the designated roadway.
- Help beautify the City’s roadsides.
- Annual agreement with City.
- Litter cleanup at least two times per year.
- Sign recognition along roadway giving credit for your efforts.
