Dodge Park Ice Rink

Date Night
Friday, Feb. 14 from 7-9 p.m.

Bring your loved ones to the Dodge Park Ice Rink on Valentine's Day for a romantic evening. Each couple will get a sweet treat.

Princess Day
Saturday, Feb. 15 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Get dolled up in your princess gowns and tiaras, and join us on the ice for an afternoon of princess magic.

Community Center

Coffeehouse Concerts
Thursdays, Feb 6 - Mar. 13 from 6-8 p.m. Concert Schedule.

Thursday nights are brewing once again on Dodge Park Road. #MYSHPR is bringing you live music on Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. through the Sterling Coffeehouse series taking place inside the Community Center. Tickets are available for purchase online or at the Community Center! Enjoy live music, complimentary coffee from Deer Camp Coffee and a sweet treat compliments of Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Home Alone Safety
Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 6-8 p.m. Register online by Feb. 2.

Our class will prepare children and their parents in making the first steps towards independence and being at home alone without adult supervision. This class is designed to teach participants how to answer phone calls, recognize hazards, respond during severe weather and power outages, basic first aid, along with fire and pool safety. Home Alone Safety is taught by members of the Sterling Heights Fire and Police Departments.

Creative Community – Heart Mosaics
Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 1-2:30 p.m. Register online by Feb. 7.

Join us for an afternoon of creativity, connection, and Valentine's cheer! We will guide you through a suncatcher heart that captures beauty and spreads love. This program is designed for Adaptive Recreation participants to integrate art and socialization. The class is guided so no experience is required.

Cupid Craze Adaptive Recreation Dance
Friday, Feb. 14 from 6-9 p.m. Register online by Feb. 13.

Grab your sweetheart and join us on the dance floor for our Cupid Craze Dance. Whether you're coming with someone special or just hanging with special friends, we guarantee your heart will be smiling. Two slices of pizza, a beverage, and a sweet treat will be served to all participants. 

Game Show Night (Teen Night Out)
Friday, Feb. 21 from 7-9 p.m. Register online by Feb. 19.

Calling all teens! Come on down, you're the next contestant for our Game Show Night on Feb. 21! Get ready for a wild evening of game show madness while we celebrate the last day of winter break. The evening will include games, trivia, prizes, food and much more.

Nature Center

Grand Connections
Friday, Feb. 21 from 10-11:30 a.m. Register online by Feb. 5.

Grandparents and grandchildren are invited to spend the morning at the Nature Center for a great hands-on science lesson about how wildlife adapt to cold and survive in winter. Explore the Nature Center, enjoy a snack and create a winter window cling! 

Skulls and Furs Uncovered 
Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Register online by Feb. 6.

Discover the fascinating world of Michigan's wildlife through an up-close exploration of animal skulls and furs. Learn how to identify different species by examining their unique bone structures, fur patterns, and uncover the amazing adaptations that help them survive in their natural habitats. This hands on experience offers a deeper understanding of Michigan's diverse fauna, perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages!

Love in the Wild – Tales of Love 
Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 6-7 p.m. Register online by Feb. 10.

Delve into the fascinating and often surprising mating habits of local wildlife with our Love in the Wild Walk. As we stroll through the winter landscape, we will discuss the courtship rituals, mating strategies, and unique behaviors that animals use to attract and pair with their mates. This engaging walk offers insights into the natural world's diverse and intricate love lives, providing a fresh perspective on wildlife behavior during the winter months. 

Senior Center

Random Atrium Merriment (Members Only)
Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m. No registration required.

On special days, the Senior Center will be offering programming in the atrium to mix up the morning routine. Each R.A.M. event will offer a different activity that could test your brain, encourage getting to know your table mates or just have a good ole' belly laugh. The goal isn't to be the smartest or the best, it is to have fun and make memories with old and new friends!

FIKA Friday (Members Only)
Friday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. No registration required.

Senior Center Members are encouraged to join us for Fika Friday to take a break from their day-to-day routine and enjoy time with fellow members and possibly a special guest or two. This is a relaxed time with no formal presentation. Water and a small snack will be available, while supplies last. Members are also welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverage or purchase one at the vending machines.
