Athletic Field Rentals

Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation offers a variety of options for athletic field rentals.  Field rentals are seasonal, beginning Saturday, April 26 and ending on Sunday, October 12.  Soccer field rentals are not available during the month of July.

Athletic Field Availability

  • Baseball/Softball
    1. Delia Park – Friday, Saturday and Sunday (4 fields)
    2. Donovan Park – Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (2 fields)
    3. Baumgartner Park – Saturday and Sunday (2 fields)
    4. Beaver Creek – Monday – Sunday (smaller field, only up to 70’ bases)
  • Soccer Fields
    1. Farmstead Park – Monday – Sunday (1 field)
    2. Baumgartner Park – Monday – Sunday (1 field)
  • Cricket Field
    1. Delia Park – Monday – Sunday (1 field)

In an effort to accommodate as many requests as possible, you will only be allowed to request on weekday and/or one weekend day when requesting field usage.

All rental groups are required to carry liability insurance.  Organizations renting the fields will be required to add the City of Sterling Heights, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, MI  48313 as an additional insured on their policy at an amount of $1 million dollars per occurrence.

In order to reserve, groups must first submit a field rental application.   Upon approval, rental groups will be contacted by our office for payment and insurance paperwork.
