The City of Sterling Heights is working on major maintenance and beautification upgrades all throughout Sterling Heights to support the city’s 2030 Visioning Plan. We are encouraging commercial property owners to upgrade and maintain their buildings as well so that together we can increase the attractiveness of shopping and living everywhere in Sterling Heights.
To encourage this, we are launching the Elevate program, which will be a collaborative effort to improve the safety and attractiveness of public spaces throughout Sterling Heights.
Help retain the physical attributes desired by potential tenants and can lead to higher contract rents.
Reduce vacancy levels and increase the property’s effective gross income.
Reduce operating costs such as utility expenses and emergency repair costs.
Increase customer and employee safety and reduce liability.
How the Program Works
We’ll schedule an appointment to go over the checklist in person and confirm any needed improvements as well as a timeline for completion.
You will be provided with internal and external checklists so you can identify maintenance that will improve functionality, ensure employee and customer safety, or improve external beautification.
We will collaborate with you to ensure that your commercial property exceeds the expectations of customers and employees, providing optimal opportunities for growth.
