The Sterling Heights Historical Commission is happy to provide our residents a gateway to the past with a free tour of the Upton House Museum on Wednesdays and the second Sunday of every month from 1-4 p.m. No registration required! Please be advised that the full tour requires stairs; second floor is not wheelchair accessible.
Built in 1866-1867 by William and Sarah Aldrich Upton, the Upton House Museum is one of a few surviving 19th century homes in Sterling Heights. It was the home of this prosperous farmer and merchant until 1891. The Upton House Museum is listed on the U.S. Register of Historic Places and is a Michigan Historical Landmark.
