Tony Ventimiglia
Tony Ventimiglia is the owner of Ventimiglia Italian Foods. The gourmet Italian deli and café has been around for four generations, delivering a taste of Italy to Metro Detroit for over a century.
In the 1920s, Tony’s grandfather came to this country to live the American Dream. He started by selling fruit on the street from a cart and eventually opened his store in Detroit with his son and two daughters, Tony’s father and aunts. Over the years, Ventimiglia Italian Foods became a local treasure in the community. When his father took on the family tradition and moved to a different neighborhood in Detroit, Tony would spend his summers working, learning all of the family secrets and delivering groceries to customers’ houses.
As time went by, their customer base expanded to Sterling Heights, and the Ventimiglia family followed them here. The family-centric city was a perfect fit to bring people together over a delicious meal. Ventimiglia Italian Foods has been serving the area for 43 years, bringing authentic Italian cuisine to the community and serving the same customers for generations.
With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, customers often purchase take-home meals from Ventimiglia Italian Foods, allowing them to enjoy a true Italian meal without the hassle of cooking. Tony often hears from customers about how the food tastes just like what their grandma would make during their childhood. Ventimiglia Italian Foods is just one of the many family-owned shops with a long-standing tradition in Sterling Heights.
